What We Believe

God

Made by Him.

Genesis 1 tells us that God created humans in His image and his likeness. We aim to live lives that reflect who He is and what He is like.

Loved by Him.

We believe God is a good and loving Father who proved His love for us by giving his Son Jesus to die in our place, so that we might be reunited with Him forever. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him will not perish but have eternal life” John 3:16… we think this is the best news ever!

Saved by Him.

We believe in the grace of God through faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ as our only means of salvation.  Acts 4:12 says, “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven, given to mankind by which we must be saved.”

“This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.”

— 1 John 3:16

Community

Called to serve.

Jesus told us that the greatest life lived is one serves others above self. We aim to follow his example. (Philippians 2:5-11)

Called to Love.

Celebrating. Mourning. Skiing. Snowboarding. Hot meals. Cold drinks. Hiking. Hugs. Chats. Coffees. Love comes in all shapes and sizes, and in all seasons. (John 13:34)

Called to live.

Jesus lived, worked, worshipped and ate amongst the people to whom he was sent and so will we.

“As the father has sent me, so I am sending you” John 20:21

“I lift my eyes to the mountains. Where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth”

— Psalm 121:1-2

Mountains

Called to them.

We believe God’s eternal power and divine nature have been revealed to us through his creation so we might see and understand him better (Romans 1:20).  We joyfully and regularly embrace opportunities to gather with people in the mountains and point them to the Creator.

Enjoy them.

Snow, rain, clouds, sleet, hail, sun, and wind are all elements on the playground we call “Mountain”!  Sharing experiences with others in God’s creation is one of our favorite ways to build relationships and encourage each other in our faith.

Inspired by them.

Psalms 19:1 “The Heavens declare the glory of God, The skies proclaim the work of his hands”

The view from a mountain top causes people to stop in awe. The wonder we experience is involuntary praise and we join creation in declaring God’s glory.
