Tangled Dreams

Since I was extremely young, I've dreamed of being a published author one day. I've pursued this dream through many different avenues, received over seventy rejections, and have even shelved the dream for years at a time to focus on other dreams like marriage and kids. Maybe you have a dream like this; something you've wanted since you were a little kid that you were once so sure you would attain. But now... life feels so busy, and you're unsure your brain even works the same way it once did.

That's how I felt this morning when I woke up muddled, with all my goals and ideas tangled up in a huge knot. "I can't write anymore. I don't even know how, " I told my husband before remembering that I had to write LMM Weekly in the next few hours. I turned to one of my favorite chapters in the Bible, James 1, specifically verse 5:

"If anyone lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him."

While we are running short on wisdom, inspiration, and direction, God never runs out. When our way seems dark, we must only hold tighter to His hand.
